Our Annual Day 2023, themed "BHARAT - AMRITH PRAVAAHINI," was a prestigious and remarkable event that epitomized our institution's dedication to holistic education and the nurturing of well-rounded individuals. The evening commenced with an official ceremony, graced by Shri. Dinesh Ram, the distinguished Regional Officer of CBSE, who recognized and honored our students' commendable achievements. Subsequently, the event transitioned into a captivating display of cultural prowess, where our students showcased their diverse talents through enchanting dances, soulful music renditions, articulate speeches in both English and Tamil, and compelling dramatic presentations. This Annual Day celebration celebrated academic excellence and the vibrant cultural tapestry that enriches our school community, leaving an indelible mark on all attendees.
Every year, our school comes alive with a dynamic spirit of competitiveness and friendship as we assemble for one of our academic calendar's most anticipated events - School Sports Day. This year too, on the 28th and 29th of August, the school sports day was held. From sprint races to relay events and field sports. The participants exhibited their dedication and enthusiasm, making it a memorable event for everyone. Parents and teachers cheered on the young athletes, fostering a sense of camaraderie and encouragement. The Bharathi house won the overall trophy with a great performance across multiple events
'Nation first, always first' is a philosophy that speaks of patriotism that is inherent in everyone of us. It encapsulates the journey of each and every Indian and the responsibilities we have as citizens.
The Investiture Ceremony is marked as the most important occasion in the school calendar. The
council prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon
them by the school.
Varsharambh marked the auspicious beginning of the school. Students took three resolutions that were
simple, achievable and realistic. It was a solemn occasion which was a more like sankalp for the
entire year
The Annual Day celebration of DAV Boys Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram was held on 19th October 2022.
It was a glorious double celebration marking the golden Jubilee year of our Prestigious Institution and the victorious diamond jublee year of the our Independent nation. Both were celebrated exquisitely through the theme Swarna Rajata Bharat that portrayed the quintessential heritage and exponential achievements of the country through variable dance, skits and music. The hallmark of the event was the proud moment when the talented kids were felicitated with various awards that stood a testimony to their hardwork.
The joy of giving – Daan Utsav a festival of philanthropy that aims to become a part of each Davian,
was celebrated in the second week of October(7 TH OCTOBER – 13 TH OCTOBER 2022) by the students to
encourage them to participate in the simple acts of kindness.
The students volunteered and shared their experiences thus truly living up to the school
values of creating a compassionate society. Classes I – XII contributed by donating
stationery, unused storybooks, notebooks, toiletries, Gyaandaan, serving food to the
supporting staff and expressing their sincere feelings and gratitude towards their parents ,
teachers through beautiful greeting cards , posters and a rally.
It was definitely a memorable event .We thank our management and Principal for giving
us this opportunity.

The Annual Sports Meet for the Academic year 2022 was held with great pomp and show. It was a spectacular display of courage hard work and brilliance, that has been an integral part of D.A.V. Boys Senior Secondary School since time immemorial. The sports meet was organized with a flamboyant spirit among students which would be a memory to cherish for the years to come. Apart from commemorating victories the annual sports meet imparted lessons on camaraderie among students.
The inaugural event of our health, science and eco clubs on July 19th 2022 was a festive affair
presided by our honourable Headmistress mam, Mrs Swarna Karpagavalli. The event began with an
invocation song by students of class 8. Following the pledge of all three clubs read out by students
of class 10, students of class 9 and 10 were enlightened with the recent achievements in the field
of science, environment and health, which was well appreciated and well received by the audience.
The list of events planned for the academic year by all the three clubs were shared with the
students who responded with enthusiasm and anticipation.
Our headmistress mam shared her
valuable thoughts and discussed how participation in these clubs would be of importance in a
student’s learning curve.
On the whole, the event was a well organised and a well-executed one
with our student volunteers, co-ordinators of the clubs and our school management who made the event
a successful one
D.A.V Boys Senior Secondary school, Gopalapuram celebrated the 76th Independence day as Azadi ka
Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate our freedom. Chief guest Lt Col Krishnamurthy, Governing board member
Rajiv Chowdry ji, Convenor DAV Boys Senior Secondary school, Gopalapuram,Smt Poonam Anand ji had
graced the occasion. The Chief Guest Lt. Col Krishnamurthy hoisted the national flag with great
enthusiasm. The theme of the program was Vishwa guru Bharat. Convenor Poonam Anand ji delivered the
key note address followed by the Presidential address by Lt Col Krishnamurthy.
